VCAT has a Residential Tenancies List specifically for hearing disputes between landlords and tenants. VCAT is a more informal alternative to court, however the final decisions must be obeyed in the same way as a court order.

Information on applying to VCAT for a Residential Tenancy hearing is available from the VCAT website.
