Consumer Affairs Victoria maintains a public register of enforceable undertakings obtained under the Fair Trading Act 1999. The Director may accept a written undertaking given by a person in relation to any matter the Director has a power or function under the Fair Trading Act 1999 or matters in relation to the contravention of any other consumer Act.

The register contains the name and address of the person who made the undertaking, the date of the undertaking, the section/s of the Act and/or Regulation against which there is evidence of a breach and a copy of the undertaking.

The register may be inspected by any person at a reasonable time without charge. Inspection hours are during normal business hours: Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

As the register is a public document, available to all the public to inspect, documents cannot be removed from the register nor marked or altered in anyway.
