A Seymour car trader has been placed on a good behaviour bond after being found guilty of breaches of the Motor Car Traders Act 1986 and the Business Names Act 1962.

The Seymour Magistrate’s Court imposed the 12-month undertaking on RN & JR Beer Pty Ltd after it was found guilty of nine charges, including failing to enter the odometer readings of used cars in its dealings book and using an unregistered business name.

The undertaking included conditions that the company make $500 donations to local branches of the Red Cross and Salvation Army.

RN & JR Beer Pty Ltd was also ordered to pay $500 costs by 25 June. No conviction was recorded.
