Seconds or samples – refunds

You have the same refund rights on seconds and samples as you would have on full-price products.

However, you cannot claim a refund for problems that the store told you about, or problems that you should have noticed when examining the product.

Example:

Eric buys a pair of shoes labelled as ‘seconds’. A tag attached to the shoes says there is a problem with the stitching.
When the stitching splits, Eric cannot claim a refund, repair or replacement. However, he can do so if another fault develops, such as the sole cracking.
