If you receive an ‘invalid fax received’ notice from the RTBA, it means that your number does not appear to have been approved to use the RTBA Fax Facility for estate agents.
If your agency is not registered to use the RTBA Fax Facility, do not fax any documents to the RTBA until your agency is registered.
If your agency is registered to use the RTBA Fax Facility, check your registered fax numbers against the Calling Line Identification (CLI) shown on the notice.
To add the CLI shown on the notice to your approved fax numbers:
- Download the ‘Request to Update Fax Numbers’ form (available from the agent documents panel once you have logged into RTBA Online).
- Complete the ’Request to Update Fax Numbers’ form and mail it to:

Advise the RTBA if the CLI matches a fax number already approved.
