You should provide your email address, mobile phone number and forwarding address on the Bond Claim form in case the claim is rejected or funds are retained.
A bond can be retained in cases where bank account details are not clear on the form or have been altered, signatures are not matching, or the RTBA was not able to make the payment as requested.
The Residential Tenancies Bond Authority (RTBA) will notify you by:
- email to the email address provided,
- SMS to the mobile phone number provided. (A sample SMS is: 'The Residential Tenancies Bond Authority could not process a Repayment Claim on your bond. For details, contact your property manager who has received a notice.')
- mail to the forwarding address provided.
