What is an Overseas Telegraphic Transfer (OTT)?

OTT is a method of bond repayment available to parties who are overseas and do not have a bank account in Australia.

This service is only available if:

  • you do not have any bank account in Australia, and
  • you have entered an overseas forwarding address on the bond claim form to receive a cheque payment, and
  • your overseas financial institution cannot deposit the cheque issued by the RTBA into the requested international bank account.

A bank fee of AUD $32 will be deducted from your repayment amount before the transfer.

For advice on how to do an OTT, email rtba@justice.vic.gov.au or call 1300 137 164.
