Suppression of rooming house details on register A rooming house address can be suppressed from the public register to protect residents threatened by interpersonal or family violence. 19 June 2019 Renting guide can be given electronically Landlords may give tenants Renting a home: a guide for tenants in electronic form, if the tenant has given written consent to receive notices and other documents this way. Changes to rent increases In leases entered into on or after 19 June, landlords must not increase the rent more than once in any 12-month period. 2 March 2020 Pets and renting Tenants can keep pets at a rental property, with their landlord’s consent.
