A Fitzroy rooming house operator has been put on a 12-month good behaviour bond after admitting to breaches of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.
Karl Dimitri Kachami pleaded guilty in Melbourne Magistrate’s Court to one charge of failing to lodge a bond payment with the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority and two charges of failing to display or provide a statement of rights and duties.
Mr Kachami was charged after two former residents of his Brunswick Street rooming house made complaints to Consumer Affairs Victoria.
