Melbourne Magistrate’s Court has ordered a landlord to pay a $400 fine for failing to lodge a tenant’s bond with the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority within 10 business days of receiving it.
Khai Truong was issued with an infringement notice for a breach of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.
The court ruled against Mr Truong’s application to have the infringement revoked. It ordered that he pay $400, without conviction, plus $300 costs within three months.
