Consumer Affairs Victoria has commenced proceedings in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal against Ballarat-based estate agency Gull and Company Pty Ltd (ACN: 005 523 099), for alleged contraventions of the Estate Agents Act 1980.
We will allege, amongst other things, that between 27 August 2015 and 19 October 2015, the company operated without an estate agent’s licence.
The Business Licensing Authority cancelled Gull and Company’s licence after it failed to lodge its annual statement and pay the prescribed fee for 2015.
We are seeking orders including that the company:
- be reprimanded
- implement a training and education program
- pay a penalty of $5,000 to the Victorian Property Fund.
