National Fundraising Principles Implementation Plan

The Victorian Government has released its Implementation Plan for the National Fundraising Principles, outlining the steps Victoria is taking to align with a new, national approach to monitoring charitable fundraising.

The National Fundraising Principles reflect an agreement between the Commonwealth, State and Territory governments to harmonise state and territory requirements for charitable fundraisers. The principles will apply to organisations registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) when conducting a fundraising appeal in Victoria.

Once implemented, these reforms will deliver regulatory relief to charities from the costs of complying with a patchwork of regulations across the States, Territories and Commonwealth, allowing charities to dedicate more time and money to their charitable purpose.
