Disclaimer

The register and the online public register are only as accurate as the information provided. The BLA tries to obtain accurate and up-to-date information during and after the registration process.

There may be a delay of at least one hour between when the BLA receives information and when you can see it in the register.

Decisions may be reviewed

Many BLA decisions can be reviewed by VCAT. You can apply to VCAT to review a relevant BLA decision within 28 days of the date of the decision.

The Register of Professional Engineers and the online public register reflect the BLA decision pending the outcome of the review, unless VCAT suspends the BLA decision until the end of the review proceedings.

If you wish to use information from the registers in legal proceedings, obtain a certified extract by sending the BLA a request using the BLA enquiry form.

Requests for bulk information from the register

To request bulk information from the registers, you must set out the intended use in writing to the Registrar of the BLA, who will take into account the purpose of the request in view of the strict requirements of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2000 and relevant business licensing legislation. Fees may apply.

The BLA will not release information for use in direct marketing or similar commercial activities. For more information, send the BLA a request using the BLA enquiry form.
