Motor car trader First Stop Car Sales has withdrawn its application for review of a decision of the Motor Car Traders Claims Committee to admit a claim against the Motor Car Trader’s Guarantee Fund.

Mr Mohammed Dennaoui, trading as First Stop Car Sales, provided full payment of $1690.90 to the Motor Car Traders Claims Committee and withdrew his review application to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

As a result of the claim being admitted against the fund, a motor car trader’s licence is automatically suspended 30 days after the claim is admitted. An affected motor car trader must then make an application to the Business Licensing Authority to retain their licence.

The Committee had previously admitted a consumer’s claim in part, for $1690.90, in relation to payment for an extended warranty and roadside assistance which was not remitted to the relevant warranty company by the motor car trader.
