New education rules for real estate agents will lift professional standards across the industry. The dates for when you need to act vary.

The biggest change is a new annual continuing professional development (CPD) requirement.

You must complete annual CPD on your legal, ethical and professional knowledge to maintain your licence.

The CPD will cover mandatory activities determined by the Business Licensing Authority (BLA) and will include written assessments.
From 1 April 2027
