New education rules for owners corporation managers will lift professional standards across the industry. They cover fees, education and registration. The dates for when you need to act vary.
The biggest change is a new initial training requirement, which you must complete by 30 June 2027.

| New initial training |
You must complete any 5 core units from the Certificate IV in Strata Community Management.
Find a registered training provider.
You must complete the initial training if you are:
- a manager who is registered as an individual, or
- an officer in effective control (OIEC) who is in charge of the day-to-day operations of an owners corporation management business of an OC management business.

Complete by 30 June 2027. |
| Annual continuing professional development (CPD) |
You must complete annual continuing professional development (CPD) to maintain your registration.
The CPD will cover mandatory activities determined by the Business Licensing Authority and will include written assessments. |
From 1 April 2028. |
