Skip listen and sharing tools

Definition: From 1 March 2027, in all ceilings or parts of ceilings where no insulation is present, insulation must be installed by an accredited installer to a minimum rating of R5.0.

This requirement does not apply if there is existing insulation, even if it does not meet an R5.0 rating.

The standard also requires an electrical safety checklist to be completed and any electrical issues to be addressed by a licensed electrician no less than 30 days prior to the installation of insulation.
