Minimum energy efficiency standards: Draughtproofing standard

Skip listen and sharing tools

Definition: From 1 July 2027, draughtproofing means fitting sealing or weather-stripping products to all external doors and external windows to restrict airflow around the entire perimeter of the door or window, without impairing normal operation; and fitting unsealed wall vents with a robust, non-shrinking sealing material that seals or closes the vent.

Important: Make sure you complete the required gas safety check before doing any draughtproofing.
