Description: Video begins – we see a friendly-looking tradesman pull into a driveway. The house belongs to a middle-aged man (Greg) who is picking up toys from his driveway. His house appears behind him. The tradesman gets out of his ute and approaches Greg.
Voice over (Greg): He came out of nowhere.
Description: [Cut to a second home] We see the tradesman talking to an older woman (Maxine) who has been working in her garden. The tradesman is pointing out some problems with Maxine’s roof and she is listening to him.
Voice over (Maxine): He told me my roof needed work.
Description: [Cut to a third home] We see a close up of a woman in her mid-thirties (Saura) in front of her house and garden. She is talking to the camera.
Voice over (Saura): Said he’d do it cheap, but only if I paid cash today.
Description: [Cut to the second home] We see a close up of Maxine in her garden with the side of her house visible behind her. She is talking to the camera.
Voice over (Maxine): He even offered to drive me to the bank.
Description: [Cut back to the first home] We see close up of Greg standing in his driveway with his house behind him, confidently talking to the camera. Halfway through the voice over, the scene cuts to a flashback showing Greg ushering the tradesman into his ute, indicating he should leave.
Voice over (Greg): It seemed too good to be true, so I told him I’d get another quote.
