Purpose
The purposes of The Club are:
a) To promote, develop and support artistic roller skating and to actively encourage artistic roller skating as a recreational and competitive sport.
b) Take reasonable steps to keep vulnerable people safe from deliberate or inadvertent harm that are members of The Club; in receipt of our service or participate in events we host.
c) To have policies and practises that align with ASVI and Skate Australia to keep members of The Club safe and free from harm as they participate in the sport.
d) To be financially viable, raising funds for The Club as part of its operations.
e) To implement procedures, practices or systems that improve the operations of The Club and / or minimise its risk exposure.
f) To arrange and conduct Club competitions, proficiency tests in additions to shows and exhibitions that promote the sport.
g) To support members of The Club in all aspects of roller skating.
h) To raise funds for the support of members engaged in roller skating activities, including competitions, proficiency tests, shows and exhibitions.
i) To borrow or raise money either alone or jointly with any other person or legal entity in such a manner that is proper and legal.
j) To promote co-operative efforts at The Club level with ASVI, who in turn works with the national body, Skate Australia.
k) To communicate with and seek feedback where practical from club members, parents/guardians and representative bodies.
l) To undertake and do all such other things or activities which are necessary, incidental or conducive to the advancement of these purposes.
