Purpose

To promote educational equality by providing technological resources and support to underprivileged children and to bridge the digital divide by collecting, refurbishing, and distributing technological devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, projectors, networking equipment, etc., as well as providing cloud-based computing and educational software to disadvantaged children.

By equipping underprivileged students with the necessary tools for digital learning and offering ongoing technical support, this association enables children to participate effectively in modern educational environments, enhances their digital literacy, and prepares them for future opportunities.

The association is committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of disadvantaged students, fostering an environment where all children can reach their full potential.

Key activities:

(a) Collection of Devices: We collect donations of new and used tech devices from individuals and corporations.
(b) Fund Raising: We raise funds to procure new devices or parts necessary for refurbishing used devices.
(c) Refurbishing Devices: Repairing, upgrading, and updating used devices to ensure they are fully functional.
(d) Distribution of Devices: Distributing both new and refurbished tech devices to underprivileged children who need them the most.
(e) Access to Cloud-Based Computing: Providing access to high-power computing environments remotely via cloud resources.
(f) Educational Software Subscriptions: Offering subscriptions to essential educational software and platforms.
(g) Ongoing Technical Support: Providing continuous tech support, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and guidance on effective use of technology for educational purposes.
(h) Community Engagement and Education: Working with educators, parents, and guardians to maximise the educational benefits of the technology provided.

Financial information

Please note: From 1 July 2018, if a Victorian Incorporated Association is also registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), they are exempt from lodging annual statements to Consumer Affairs Victoria.
