What property professionals need to do
Property professionals must complete at least 5 CPD activities each CPD year. A CPD year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
Each CPD activity must:
- be at least 1 hour
- be delivered in person or through an interactive online format that requires participants to engage directly with the content
- be relevant to the participant’s occupation
- have clear learning objectives
- be an activity from a provider from the CPD provider list.
At least 2 of the 5 CPD activities must be from the list of mandatory activities set by the Business Licensing Authority (BLA). The mandatory activities must include a written assessment.
Property professionals must keep records of each CPD activity they complete.
Under the new rules, conferences, self-study and pre-recorded webinars do not count as CPD activities. CPD activities must be delivered by an eligible CPD provider, such as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or other prescribed entity.
