To be registered in Victoria, a limited partnership must have:
- at least one general partner (and a maximum of 20)
- at least one limited partner (but there is no maximum number of limited partners)
- a registered office in Victoria (this may be the address of a solicitor or accountant lodging the form on the applicants’ behalf).

Certificate of registration
If your application is approved, we will issue you a certificate of registration, which proves the partnership was formed on the endorsed date of registration. You must display this certificate at the registered office of the limited partnership.
